Setting Up Scenes
Create scenes for different activities by setting light preferences within the app.
You will Need
Lutron App
Smart Dimmer or Switch
Smart Bridge
1. Open the Lutron App on your smartphone
2. Select the “Scenes” tab on the Homescreen
3. Choose “Add Scene”
4. Enter a name for the Scene
Common names include Goodnight, Movie time, Dinner time, Entertaining, Cooking, Homework, and Reading
5. Select an icon that best represents the scene in your app
6. Tap “Next” in the top right corner
7. Choose the devices you want to include in the Scene, and adjust lights to desired levels
8. Tap “Done” in the top right corner and then “OK”
9. The scene will now show up on your Homescreen under the Scenes tab
Ideas and inspiration to get you started
Scenes help you get more out of any room in your house. Just think about places where a change in lighting can make the space better suited for different activities, like:
- Your kitchen: scenes for cooking, entertaining, or even homework time
- Your bedrooms: scenes for perfect book reading or relaxing
- The family room: scenes for entertaining, movie night or family game night
And remember, not only can you activate scenes via the Lutron app, but also you can use your smart speaker to simply ask for the scene you want. Just say, “Alexa, turn on movie time.”
